I had a 4 day weekend last week and since I had hooked up with a really good clan I had a blast every single day going on different expeditions.
Sometimes we fought monsters and gained lots of gold/skills.
Sometimes we fought players, ganked some, got ganked ourselves.
The highlight of the weekend was hanging out at a secluded spot with pretty good r30 weapons and lots of gold working the spawn for hours.
I don’t know why but I really love the parrying system in the game, not only does it really help your pve strategy ( 1 guy parries while the other guys attack the back ) but it also helped in both solo pvp fights I had to contend with and won.
All the skilling up and playing really helped. In the 1vs1 battles I had I carefully worked my opponent down and when they were really suffering I unleashed a furious attack that took them down.
Even when soloing a camp and having 5 guys with fireballs roll up on me I was more strategic in my defense than when I first played and I ended up spinning around in circles while some veteran player raped me ( yes it really felt like being raped ).
So in the end I’m hopelessly addicted to this game. Starting off is tough, its almost like being born, you have to fight your way out of being new and not knowing how to respond to the inputs the game world gives you. But after you reach the boundaries of being that noob and you step across to the other side you feel like you’re a part of the world and that you can take on that world.
I’m still pretty new, I know, but I’m starting to get a real taste for the game and its only getting better and better.
My gear still sucks but I definitely see a difference in survivability 2 weeks after starting my guy and its so much fun.
